Summary:

YapStone, Inc. has an opportunity for a full-time Human Resources Generalist & Payroll Manager in downtown San Francisco, CA. The HR Generalist will be responsible for all Human Resources responsibilities, including employee relations support, new associate on-boarding, performance management, and payroll and benefits administration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, support and communicate HR policies and procedures, including review of existing policies and recommending changes where necessary.
• Maintain, revise and communicate the Employee Handbook and other Company policies.
• Process payroll for 75+ employees.
• Provide employees with information regarding paychecks and assist in resolving discrepancies with paychecks.
• Track paid time off (PTO), accrual balances, payroll deductions, payroll taxes, hours worked, and other related items.
• Assist and lead special projects, including but not limited to: New Hire Orientation, open enrollment, employee survey initiatives.
• Administer and process enrollment or change information to plan providers, distribute information and explain benefits programs to employees.
• Respond to unemployment and disability claims and coordinate paperwork for leaves, i.e. FMLA, Disability, Pregnancy, etc.
• Assist in Worker's Compensation tracking and reporting.
• Maintain and audit Employee Personnel Files on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local laws.
• Work with management on company celebratory events and reward and recognition initiatives.
• Complete additional HR and payroll related tasks as required.

Desired Skills:
• 5 years of HR and payroll experience preferred, including knowledge of California labor laws and general payroll compliance.
• Ability to handle sensitive personnel issues and can maintain strict confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Experience with ADP preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
