Description
RentPayment is currently seeking a Full-Time Software Installer/Trainer who is prepared to start immediately. The ideal candidate will join a team of friendly dedicated individuals focused on delivering efficient, first rate service for our customers.
The successful candidate will perform remote software installation and configuration and provide technical support to customers utilizing our electronic payment processing platform. Customers will be using reservation and account management applications integrated with our system for processing electronic credit card and ACH transactions.
The Software Installer/Trainer will be working with the accounting and operations customer personnel to perform software installation and configuration, and assist the customer to run and verify test transactions. The successful candidate will deliver training on transaction processing and usage of our robust online reporting system, and also provide ongoing technical support for customer requests via phone and remote desktop assistance.
Responsibilities include:
- Schedule and perform software installation and configuration with customers via a remote connection (phone and internet).
- Show consistent attention to detail to ensure correct account settings and software configuration setup.
- Thoroughly test the electronic payment solution prior to and after customer deployment.
- Train customers via phone on transaction processing, software usage, and our robust reporting system.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and ability to identify appropriate solutions and workarounds where applicable.
- Work with project manager and engineers to escalate issues and seek help when necessary.
- Generate periodic customer service reports and bug lists for internal issue tracking.
- Create and route outstanding issues to the appropriate technical group and follow issue through completion.
- Answer incoming technical support desk calls as received via phone call service queue.
- Show accountability and follow through by responding to customers as issues are addressed to help ensure positive customer relationships.
- Eager to learn about new launched products and pre-sales technical information.
- Ability to help and share tasks in with other integrations as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Must have a minimum 3 years experience in technical support or customer service.
- Experience with support of software applications, hardware, networking and/or other help desk issues.
- Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting networking configuration and connectivity issues
- Good working knowledge of computer operating systems and file systems, especially Microsoft Windows (NT / 2000 / XP)
- Excellent organization, communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate proactive approach to problem resolution, strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment, and have excellent time management skills.
- Excellent team player.
