Description
RentPayment is seeking an experienced full-time Software Quality Assurance Engineer to assist in testing new features for our RentPayment One platform.
The desired candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing verification of software issues as they are fixed and rolled to production;
- Creating and executing test plans and test cases, submitting bug reports and maintaining the bug database;
- Assisting with technical support when needed to address configuration and usage issues.
This is a full-time position in San Francisco, CA. Our offices are conveniently located in the San Francisco Financial District, adjacent to the TransAmerica Pyramid building.
No relocation or telecommuting. No sponsorship (H1-B's). Local candidates only. Work will be performed at our San Francisco, CA office location.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
At least 3 to 5 years experience:
- Performing software quality assurance testing, preferably with web e-commerce applications;
- Writing test cases and test plans and directly performing software testing;
- Isolating software problems and distinguishing configuration issues from actual software problem reports;
- Submitting well written bug reports and collaborating with developers to address software issues;
- Configuring test environments in a three-tiered web application environment;
- Basic administration and management of Linux and Windows test systems;
- Executing SQL commands to insert, update, and delete rows in a test database environment;
- Excellent communication and documentation skills;
- Self-motivated and a self-starter.
In addition, the following software test automation experience is desired:
- Familiarity with scripting and tools to automate testing and generate load activity a plus;
- Experience using Selenium and Selenium RC for automating web application software test cases a significant plus.
A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is required for this position.
